Riled up again.

Just a quick one as I blew my time loading photos from the camera to the pc.

Things at work continue apace. Finally some conference calls on applications. No answers but lots of information floating around now.

They had meetings with everyone today to say "your department is staying" or "your department is being eliminated". Nothing we didn't expect. It was just interesting to hear them say that all of technology for our organization will be reduced to 8 support positions. That doesn't include whatever they have in their existing infrastructure. For the entire region VA, MD, and DE there will be 8 positions.

Needless to say that had people a bit riled up. Lots of excess emotion that was burned off in long lunches and loud conversations.

Another person left today too which is added to last friday's 3 departures. They took attendance at the meetings today and it was interesting how many folks were out due to job interviews.

I'm mildly torn between staying for the payday at the end and looking for a job now. Either way I may have to put out a resume to a local book company who have a posting on their website for a dba. It's really close to my house and it seems like it would be a cool place to work. We'll see.
