A little sad.

Today was Dan's last day at work. This kid started as a teenager, convinced by his mom (our admin) that he should aspire to more than Jiffy Lube. He came in spit shined and helpful for a contract job updating virus software. He was friendly, polite and cheerful and he worked his butt off. He earned himself a permanent spot. Heck, he was so well liked they used to bake cakes for him downtown. Things had gotten rough under the screaming boss. He had the kid pretty beaten down. Change will be good for him, I'll miss him though.

We're up to 8 going or gone (for some reason I can only come up with 6 names but a couple of us counted them together and it was 8). Some don't seem to matter, some are worth a sigh, some are good riddance but then one touches me a little deeper and I'm feeling a bit sad.
