The simple pleasures.

The PTA carnival was today. The hotly debated improvement over all previous efforts. The carnival they spent thousands of dollars on. The tickets were 4 for a dollar, every game was at least 2 tickets and the prizes were penny junk. We preordered tickets (5 for a dollar) and went anyway because the boy likes it.

He played a couple games, won some junk. Jumped in the moon bounce. Cheated to ensure he'd win at the animal rescue (sort of a cake walk for stuffed animals). Ate some pizza and subs.

What did he enjoy the most? Playing on the playground and rolling down the hill with his friend. Which just goes to show you that the simple pleasures are the best.
