The Aristocrats (insert jaunty snapping motion here).

It was very good. It was very dirty, to quote another patron 'that was the foulest thing I've ever seen'. One couple walked out. It was also not quite what I expected.

I don't get the couple who walked out - how could they possibly not know what they were in for? The perversity of this film has been advertised far and wide. Penn Gillete makes a point in interviews about it to say [paraphrasing] we want you to know it's disgusting before you come to it.

How was it different than my expectations? More talking about humor and the telling of the joke than I expected. Fewer actual tellings. When I think hard they really did tell it many, many times but they did it in bits and pieces. It worked very well.

My favorites were Drew Carey and Jason Alexander. Bob Saget was laughing so hard he could barely get through it. I was also amused by the fact that they often cracked up the people behind the camera. There is lots of background laughter.

I laughed out loud 6 or 8 times. I chuckled quietly many more than that. I love the way you get a feel for how different people feel about comedy and the creation of comedy.

Best observation: you can't really push buttons anymore using sex or foul language, now racist items are far more provocative.

Best line: "An Indian comes in, that's a slurpee Indian not a casino Indian."

Worth the $7 for the matinee? Probably not to everyone, but I don't regret it.
