Packed Powder.

Schools out today but it was a scheduled day off. That makes it complicated. The boy is scheduled to go to the rec & parks childcare program. So last night I prepare by going online and getting the inclement weather number. Get up this morning, call the gym find out those wussies are openning late again. Then call the park & recs line - Sunday's message is still there. Up, dressed, lunch made and almost 7 am (program starts at 6:30am) and the message is still sunday's. Get the boy up, eat breakfast check again now it's totally screwed up as it says Monday the 21st and says the programs are cancelled. The husband and I scratch our heads and I go online - nothing. Now it's nearly 7:30 and time for us to leave so the husband checks it again. Now it says Monday the 24th and all programs are scheduled. Crazy. Anyway I sent the boys off to the program and I came to work. I figure if there's no one there they'll come home (hubs would have been the one taking off anyway).

The drive out is amusing. Sort of snow archeology. Our drive - mostly clear (from the snoblowers) with some snowy & icy spots. Our street - at least 2 inches of packed powder curb to curb. The main neighborhood street - a combo of powder and pavement thinning to mostly pavement where it meets the access road. The access road - mostly wet pavement with a little dry pavement. Out to the highway where it's mostly dry.

I'm at work now - I'd rather be home.
