Stupid Vendor Tricks

We are changing our core accounting system. We are in the lengthy and painful process of converting and testing.

I have now experiened the stupidest thing I can think of. We provided specifications for our current system uploads and downloads (data going in and out). Each one includes a field we identified as [old system name] account number. I have now tried two test files and for both of them they sent me the old system's account number. This despite the fact that we will be changing all the account numbers for the new system.

They decided that they needed to be literal and provide those account numbers because that's what we called them in the document. (Argh)
