Consequences.

As a consequence of the boy's elimination issues we are currently under another electronics ban. Last week he was counting down to the restoration of his distractions. Last week he was whiney and a nuisance.

Today he played with his blocks and made up tremendous games with a variety of creatures and happy meal toys. Today he helped me grocery shop. We had some card game duels and he's played outside - lots. Right now he has been out for a couple hours. This has never happened before.

Tomorrow he'll get back a little taste of his favorite glowing boxes, but I'll never look at them the same. And he doesn't know it yet, but he'll never get unlimited access again.

Now if I could just impose that on the husband...
