Rhetoric.

The meeting has been held and our new structure put into place. I continue to wonder why they waited 2 1/2 months to put in a temporary structure that they say will be gone in 6 to 8 weeks. Other than that I feel pretty darn dispassionate about the whole thing.

I must question, though, why they always talk about our personal development, improved career paths and opportunity to grow now that we are joined to the other organization. We have precisely no career paths, and our only upward progression will be the unlikely scenario where one of the people above us (who have worked here 5 to 25 years) happen to leave or die.

Yeah, real motivational. Our real problem, we are told, is that we don't have our offices all together. So they will probably move us into the half constructed pit that would have been our space if they can just make enough accomodations to get an occupancy permit. That would be the bank of 6 offices along the windows that are complete. Of course every other bit of the space is unfinished with bare concrete flooring and unfinished ceilings. Yeah that will be another stellar motivational booster.

Don't mind me, I'm just having a case of bad attitude.
