A Good Life.

Yesterday I got the vegetable garden going. I had to turn the plot, ammend the soil (my poor pathetic clay), put the spiffy edges in, re-string the trellises for the vines and plant the early veggies. I'm a bit late with those, so I imagine my yield will be off. A bummer, but I just couldn't get to it earlier.

The munchkin helped me re-string the trellises and plant a bit. He didn't much care for it, though, so he went back in. He came zipping out again to water. I think that's his favorite part of gardening.

Afterwards he played a bit on the swings. First whirling and twirling on the rope swing, then riding the regular swing with me pushing. While he was swinging he made up a song. I didn't catch all the words, but the gist was that we have a good life. (It's a good day, and we have a good life - Mommy and me and sometimes Daddy.)

I have to agree with him too.
