Corporate Generosity.

I got an unexpected raise with the new year! Oh, yeah a whopping .75% (yes the decimal is in the correct place). They informed me it was to compensate for the change in the review schedule. This is really amazing because the review schedule for me is exactly the same as it was last year. The prize momement was when Ms HR says "I would have thought your supervisor would have explained this."

At least I didn't laugh.
