Old Fashioned Entertainment.

This weekend the boy rediscovered his toys. He even rode his bike. Twice. Amazing what a total electronics ban will do.

For me it meant admiring many lego works of art, listening to amazing explanations of the creatures he created, playing many yugioh duels, helping fix a snack with the easy bake, having a helper to make dinner and numerous equivalents of "are we there yet" for meal times, bedtime and the reinstatement of the first electronics item.

Once the computer was again at his beck and call (and after the obligatory lecture reminding him why he lost it's use to begin with) he barely budged all afternoon. I think he played every game he has and several of his father's.

Now he's asleep and I'm sitting here wondering where the heck my weekend went.
