Halloween was a nice time. The first trick-or-treaters showed up at 5:45 as we were sitting down for dinner. The last were probably around 8:05. At 8:30 I finally turned off the light.

The middle school boys were not the problem I thought they'd be. Seems that wacko mom at the end of the driveway had a good idea - she chaneled their energy into a "haunted hike" through the little woods we have. They were busy all afternoon and during the trick-or-treating and they got to scare other kids which I know they liked. Of course the question remaining is whether they'll clean up the fake spider webs and such.

My little man decided to run after the neighbor boy - full blast through most of the street. He wore himself right out. He got a big bag of goodies and still had a bucketful even after he removed the stuff he doesn't eat.

This morning it was odd to go out to the gym and have it be light - only to realize that it's light just so it can get progressively darker again. Of course there was no joy in the workout today but 4 hours of gardening on Sunday will do that to the Monday workout.
