The fish stick entry.

Regarding the Ash Wednesday entry. I understand where the custom of giving up comes from. I understand the lineage and even the intention. What I question is the value of the act as it is practiced among the people I know (particularly my extended family). There's a little too much self righteousness about it. I really don't think they've put the accompaning thought or prayer into it.

And we did in fact have fish sticks, some really nasty deviled crab and funky coconut shrimp. I indulged in Tums for desert.
